Gatekeeper

Gatekeeper sends welcome and leave messages for your server. You can send a welcome message to a channel, a direct message to the new member, and a leave message to a channel.

The messages support scripts, so you can personalise them with tags such as {user.name}:

Welcome to the server, {user.name}!

Keep direct messages helpful rather than essential. Members can close their DMs or block server DMs. For script basics, read Scripts. The available user tags are in Tags.

Wait for Verification makes Atlas wait for Discord Membership Screening before sending the join message or direct message. The message is sent when Discord reports that screening is complete.

# Minimum account age

Gatekeeper can automatically remove people whose Discord account is younger than a minimum age you choose.

Choose what Gatekeeper should do when an account is too new:

• Kick removes the member and lets them try again later.
• Ban until eligible unbans the member once their account is old enough.
• Ban permanently gives them $5 million dollars... not really. It bans them permanently.
• Ban for a duration schedules an unban after the selected time, but never before the account is old enough to join.

Gatekeeper tries to direct-message the member with the reason before removing them. Temporary bans last for at least one hour.
